Every Team Needs A HERO, Every HERO Needs A Team

OVERVIEW

All employees need to work collaboratively with each other in the organization – both vertically and horizontally. Teams are the building blocks of any organization. Effective teamwork enhances the ability to obtain results. It helps people to analyze and solve operational problems. A good team is much more than a collection of individual skills; it is these skills that are used in a way which produces a united effort. Good teamwork is thus a basis for organizational effectiveness. Additionally, it is one of the main sources of personal gratification in the workplace.

HERO aims to inculcate into each participant to create RIPPLE through interactive and engaging learning on mindset management, empowerment and self-leadership. Throughout HERO , participants will also learn the core aspects of being empowered to lead oneself. At the end of HERO , participants shall hold in their hands specific concepts and experiences that can propel themselves, their team and HERO towards greater heights.

The Characteristic of a RIPPLE creating:
H – Helper (A always lend a helping hand)
E – Energiser (A is an energy giver)
R – Responder (A responds and not react to setbacks and challenges)
O – Overcomer (A always make things happen)

Upon completion of HERO, participants should be able to:

  • Make positive choices as a choice maker in their own lives.
  • Respond appropriately when faced with undesired situations and changes.
  • Overcome challenges and be resilient.
  • Take proactive initiatives to make things happen as an individual and as a team.
  • Support one another through challenges to achieve a common goal.
  • Work at one’s full potential to achieve a common goal.
  • Developing leadership skills in communication, team work and achieving success together

PROGRAM OUTLINE

Time Agenda
8:30 AM Arrival of participants & Safety Briefing | Breakfast
09:00 am – 10:30am HERO ASSEMBLE

Description:

  • Participants will be introduced to the HERO, its intended objective and theme.
  • Participants will go through series of ice breaking activity to get to know each other.

Learning Outcome:

  • Participants should be able to find creative ways to do things differently.
  • Participants should be able to understand that each person is unique and can contribute in their own way to a team.

Activity:

  • Ice breakers – Participants will go through series of fun ice breaking activities to get-to-know each other better and have fun together.
  • Music Video – Participants to dance together and record a HERO Music Video
  • Mascot – Participants will group within the Superhero theme to bring out the superhero in them. They will also creativity create their very own Group Name & Mascot.
10:30 – 10:45am Morning Tea Break
11:00am – 01:00pm HERO HUNT

Description:

  • Participants will go through a team challenge to be the HUNT champion through creativity, resource management, communication, and teamwork.

Learning Outcome:

  • Participants will understand that alone they can do so little, but together they can do a lot more.
  • Participants’ objective is to creatively work together as a team to photo hunt, overcome team challenges and bond together.

Activity:

  • HERO HUNT- Teams to complete the HUNT which includes:
    (1) Break The Code: Teams to decipher a special code to retrieve the mobile number of trainers to begin the HUNT.
    (2) Team Photo Hunt: Teams to search & locate various location and pose for various group photo (Location are provided by trainer via WhatsApp). Teams will be taking ‘wefies’ throughout the HUNT.
    (3) Team Video Challenge: Teams to shoot 2 group videos
    – 30 seconds video of teams dancing Gangnam Style
    – 30 seconds video of “Be a Real Life Super Hero”
01:00 – 02:00pm Lunch
02:00 – 03:30pm TOGETHER AS ONE HERO

Description:

  • Participants will understand that together everyone can achieve more.

Learning Outcome:

  • Participants should be able collaborate and overcome task that will seem impossible initially.
  • Participants will realise the strength of working together as one team.

Activity:
Ballooniture – Participants will build a functional furniture using balloons and tape that can hold the heaviest person in their group

03:30 – 03:45pm Evening Tea Break
APPRECIATION

Description:

  • Participants will learn about the importance and power of appreciation to create a high trust working environment.
  • Participants will learn about the importance of depositing into each other’s emotional bank account through appreciating each other.

Learning Outcome:

  • Participants will learn the different ways to appreciate one and another and to build a culture of appreciation in the organisation.

Activity:
Just Say Lah! – Participants will personally write “I Thank You For…” to appreciate and highlight the positive attitude of each other.

05:30 PM The End of Day -1

OUR METHODOLOGY

The program will be interactive using the discovery / experiential learning methodology based on challenge by choice that is self – realizing and convincing. The approach is one of total systems that includes the individual with the knowledge, skill, and attitude; small, big, and total team with their respective norms and standard. Participants will experience a series of outdoor and indoor simulation activities. There will be a reflection slot after each activity for the participants to share their experiences. Reflection is generalized into behavior that needs changes to be more effective.
