ITD1003_A – Presentation Knockout (2 Days)

OVERVIEW

Presentation KnockOut aims to inculcate into each presenter through interactive and hands-on learning on the essentials of public speaking & conducting presentation. Throughout the workshop, presenter will also learn the core aspects of delivering a persuasive presentation to convince the audience to buy in their ideas. All this will contribute to the success of self and of the organisation. At the end of Presentation KnockOut, presenter shall hold in their hands specific skills, concepts and experiences that can propel themselves, their team and their organisation toward greater professionalism.

At the end of the training, participants would be able to:

  • Create a captivating presentation opening to lock-in various audience attention within the first minute.
  • Project effective showmanship during the presentation in relating to the audience.
  • Bring the presentation to another higher level with good voice projection, powerful and purposeful movement and gestures during presentation
  • Create strong and memorable ending to ensure that the key points delivered stays with the audience
  • Typically spans 2 days (9am to 5pm).
  • Nonetheless, we can customize both the program’s duration and schedule to cater to unique client requirements (e.g., compact 1-day workshops or extended sessions beyond 3 days).

PROGRAM OUTLINE

Description

  • Presenter identify their Fear Magnitude when it comes to presenting in front of a crowd.
  • Presenter will understand how their THOUGHTS create FEELINGS create ACTIONS and create RESULTS

 

Learning Outcome

  • Presenter will understand how their THOUGHTS deliberately creates the Results that they have in their ability to present well.
  • Presenter understand that the fear that they have can be shifted by merely shifting their THOUGHTS.

 

Tools

  • Public Speaking Fear Indicator (Online customised quiz) – Online customised quiz which contains questionnaire to determine presenter’s fear magnitude

 

Activity

  • Square up : Participants work on diminishing resources to meet changing needs. This addresses the idea of how your THOUGHTS about presentation & fear affects your

 

Results

  • Who Am I? – Presenter will introduce themselves and this will allow the coaches to asses presenter speaking baseline. Presenters will breakout into smaller groups where they will be paired with up with coaches in each group to ensure personalised coaching throughout the workshop

Description

  • Presenter will discover how purposeful gestures and vocalisation can be used to achieve a presentation’s purpose.
  • Presenter will present a story by incorporating both body gestures as well as vocal variety. Presenter will be given feedback through coach’s feedback.

 

Learning Outcome

  • Presenter should be able to make their body language smooth and natural when delivering a presentation.
  • Presenter should be able to use vocal variety, hand gestures and eye contact smoothly and naturally in their presentation.

 

Activity

  • Canon and water pistol – Presenter will practice their voice projections
  • Gagak and Merbok – Presenter will practice and understand the different voice variation

 

Presentation Activity

  • Can I story you? – Presenter will present a motivational story of their choice by incorporating both body gestures as well as vocal variety. Description

  • Presenter will discover that providing constructive feedback is crucial in boosting one’s selfesteem and confidence during presentation.
  • Presenter will be able to pick up cues that is very pertinent in becoming a better presenter.

 

Learning Outcome

  • Presenter will discover that providing constructive feedback is crucial in boosting one’s selfesteem.
  • Participants should be able develop a strong observation skills
  • Presenter should be able to give constructive feedback together with points for improvement.
  • Presenter should be able to apply this at work as a form of continuous development and helping one and another be a better speaker.

 

Activity

  • What do You see? – Participants will be observing a few video clips of good and bad speakers. Guided by the facilitator to provide constructive feedback.

 

Tools

  • Gift of Love – A guided tool to provide constructive feedback to sharpen each other presentation
  • Presenter will be able to have a heighten sense of self-awareness about what is a good presenter.
  • Presenter will now understand that a good presenter will need to observe their own body language so that their audience will buy their ideas.

Description:

  • Presenter will be given an overview of the essentials of public speaking to ensure the audience is able to follow the presentation.
  • Presenter will be coached with methods of developing strong presentation openings, impactful content and to make a lasting impression with an effective presentation closing that touches the hearts of all.

 

Learning Outcome:

  • Presenter should be able develop a strong opening during a presentation to capture the audience’s attention within the first minute (the hook), to build strong content by working on the key point, elaboration and examples and to lock-in their key presentation points through summary, punch lines and call for action.

Presentation Activity

  • If have 30 days to live… – Presented will be encouraged to use all the lessons learned over the past 2 days to create a powerful and lasting presentation. Presenters will breakout into smaller groups where they will be paired with up with coaches in each group to ensure personalised coaching throughout the workshop.

Description

  • Presenter will deliver a team presentation in a competitive environment as they are coached and provided with feedback for improvement after each delivery.

 

Learning Outcome

  • Presenter should be able to craft their team presentation and to present it as a team together
  • Participants should be able to work together with each other, to delegate roles and responsibility and to deliver the best team presentation

 

Presentation Activity

  • Sell me anything – Team will be given a mysterious object that they need to promote and sell to the coach by using all that they have learned earlier.
  • Crowning of the Champion Presenter
  • Review of lessons learnt and experiences gone through throughout the workshop
