ITD1008 – Emotional Intelligence at Work (2 Days)

OVERVIEW

Emotions can influence the way we act and react in the workplace. Emotional Intelligence is the ability to recognize our behaviors, moods, and impulses, and manage them in a positive way so that we can communicate effectively, empathize with others, manage stress, overcome challenging situations, and defuse conflict. Emotional intelligence helps you build stronger relationships, succeed at work, and achieve your career and personal goals.

This 2-days training course is useful for anyone who leads or works with other people, no matter what size the organization. This course will focus on the five core competencies of emotional intelligence: self-management, self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation, and empathy and include interpersonal skills.

Participants will learn to develop and implement these competencies to enhance their relationships in work and life by increasing their understanding of social and emotional behaviors and learning how to adapt and manage their responses to situations.

By the end of this course the participants will be able to:

  • Understanding to current research on the brain, emotions, behavior, and learning
  • Understanding the three components of “Know Yourself, Choose Yourself, Give Yourself”
  • Learning environment constructed to enhance intrapersonal and interpersonal intelligence
  • Examining your capacity to be a role model for EQ.
  • Typically spans 2 days (9am to 5pm).
  • Nonetheless, we can customize both the program’s duration and schedule to cater to unique client requirements (e.g., compact 1-day workshops or extended sessions beyond 3 days).

  • How to manage interpersonal relationship with people of different personalities and understanding their needs and expectations.
  • Human relations & positive reinforcement

Self-Awareness

  • Recognizing our own thoughts, feelings, and actions

  • Focusing on the Sphere of Influence

  • Use energy generated by the feeling to recognize and solve the underlying problem.
