LDR1012 – Adaptive Leadership (2 Days)

OVERVIEW

The Adaptive Leadership workshop is a practical course designed to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of leading change, particularly in uncertain times or situations with no easy solutions. This framework, developed at Harvard University, is a premier offering intended for those navigating the complexities of change initiatives. This workshop will empower leaders to work across boundaries, manage conflict, and challenge prevailing values and beliefs, strengthening their resilience and effectiveness in the process.

At the end of the training, participants would be able to:

  • Understand and apply the principles of Adaptive Leadership in complex, political, and ambiguous environments.
  • Build capacity for leveraging authority and power across diverse groups.
  • Gain insight into the dynamics of human systems, trust issues, political sensitivities, resistance, and tolerance for change.
  • Design strategies for generating systemic change, partnering with those in positions of authority or power.
  • Develop personal resilience through managing personal risks and pressures of leadership.
  • Be able to identify the root cause of recurring challenges in their organizations or communities and design an experiment to address them.
  • Learn to lead adaptively in environments with trust issues, political sensitivities, resistance, conflict, and distress.
  • Typically spans 2 days (9am to 5pm).
  • Nonetheless, we can customize both the program’s duration and schedule to cater to unique client requirements (e.g., compact 1-day workshops or extended sessions beyond 3 days).
