OVERVIEW

Participative and hugely practical, this programme uses a modular blended learning approach, making it easily accessible. Participants will benefit from 10 hours of live online learning and 11 hours of practice applying the key skills and techniques of an effective virtual trainer. Highly skilled programme facilitator will be coaching and supporting throughout the programme.

By the end of this course the delegates will be able to:

Learning Practicum 1 (4 Hours)

Virtual Platforms are really just another name for “simulation of your system”. They are basically simulations of your design. There are really two main types of Virtual Platforms, those that are targeted as being close representations of the hardware and those that are targeted for major software development.

  • Pre-session set up on WebEx/Zoom/Microsoft Teams & etc
  • How to assign privileges
  • Sharing documents and uploading presentations
  • How to share web content, files and handouts

Learning Practicum 2 (3 Hours)

In this session, we’ll help you understand your leadership style and how it impacts group dynamics. We’ll model tools to help facilitate more effectively through everyday disruptions and difficult personalities.

  • Helping participants to login correctly
  • Setting personal preference in audio & video

Learning Practicum 3 (4 Hours)

  • Tasks:
    • Create an instant session classroom, including:

  • WebEx/Zoom/Microsoft Teams & etc Breakout Exercise and Case Study
  • Practice Using Layout, Content and Breakout Rooms
  • Preparing for and run a live 20-minute Virtual session using your own materials.

In this session, participants will gain skills for encouraging dialogue and leading groups through a facilitation technique called ORID (Objective, Reflective, Interpretive, Decisional) Process that focuses on a conversation.  We’ll also practice Open, Narrow, Close again in small groups.

  • Deliver the 20-minute session to fellow cohort members and programme facilitator
  • Receive feedback on content, performance from fellow cohort members and facilitator
