OVERVIEW
Metrology is the scientific study of measurement. Metrological traceability is an important aspect of any laboratory involved in measurement, especially calibration laboratories which aspire to be accredited to ISO 17025 Laboratory Management System. By establishing and demonstrating metrological traceability not limiting to calibration procedures and measurement of uncertainty, a laboratory can provide quality and reliable services to clients and customers. This will not only enhance the quality of service or products but will also enhance the reputation among peers.
The 2 days session explores on how to establish and demonstrate a good metrological traceability encompassing good calibration techniques, measurement of uncertainty, basic statistics and understanding of measurements and units.
By the end of this course the delegates will be able to:
- Identify definition of Metrology, SI units & CRM
- Identify key elements of Metrological Traceability
- Identify processes and procedures like Calibration, Measurement Uncertainty, Intermediate Checks etc.
- Identify MS ISO/IEC 17025 requirements on Metrological Traceability
- Identify Types of Measurement Errors
- Identify How to Establish & Demonstrate Metrological Traceability
- Typically spans 2 days (9am to 5pm).
- Nonetheless, we can customize both the program’s duration and schedule to cater to unique client requirements (e.g., compact 1-day workshops or extended sessions beyond 3 days).
- Metrology Professionals
- Laboratory Managers and Supervisors
- Quality Assurance Personnel
- Calibration Technicians
- Engineers and Scientists involved in measurement
- Quality Control Analysts
