Unity Quest (0.5D)

INTRODUCTION

Unity Quest is an immersive approach to cohesiveness and teamwork. In Part I (14 working days prior to the event day), missions will be assigned to the participants with IXP. In part II (on event day), there are two different cultures present with totally different norms and point of views.

As the members of each culture are sent for a visit to the other culture, they are confronted with these differences and are forced to live according to the rules of the other culture. Now, with the integration of the IXP, this immersive quest takes on a new level of engagement and excitement.

Teams utilize the app to navigate through challenges that mirror the intricacies of cultural adaptation. The app not only serves as a guide but also adds an interactive layer, prompting teams to capture moments, share insights, and document their journey.

Unity Quest, enhanced by IXP, becomes more than just a test of the team’s ability to overcome obstacles; it evolves into an exploration of their capacity to communicate effectively, solve problems collaboratively, and ultimately unite despite potential disruptions.

  • Effective Communication and Collaboration: The experience highlights the importance of clear and open communication, especially in cross-cultural contexts where language and cultural nuances can impact understanding. This learning outcome is directly applicable to building effective teams that communicate well and collaborate efficiently.
  • Respect for Diverse Perspectives: Participants learn to appreciate and respect diverse viewpoints and approaches to knowledge. This fosters an inclusive and respectful team environment, where each member’s contributions are valued and considered.
  • Appreciation for Interdisciplinary Collaboration: The experience highlights the benefits of drawing on diverse knowledge and expertise from various areas. This understanding is valuable for building teams that leverage the strengths and skills of each member to achieve
    common goals.
